As you are aware, ESNJ and our affiliated organizations address air, water, land and wildlife challenges across the state and strive to combat climate change, promote environmental justice and promote clean energy. Our work together is more important than ever!
Climate change continues to threaten our great state. This year, New Jersey experienced severe weather events, wildfires and drought… all of which left devastation in their wake. Climate change is a big problem, yet little things we all can do will make a big difference in solving the problem. However, education is critical for individuals, businesses, and communities to understand how they can help create a cleaner, greener and healthier New Jersey.
EarthShare NJ’s work creates opportunities for individual and businesses to engage in experiences to learn good environmental behaviors. During 2022, your support allowed ESNJ to organize activities such as:
- Educational programs reaching nearly 2,000 people over 20 events
- ESNJ Concert Series which raised nearly $25,000 for environmental non-profits
- Earth Care Day attended by over 500 guests
- Green Day Challenge engaged 9 business with 12 teams involving over 250 team members
Today I ask you to again make an investment to protect our state by helping ESNJ achieve its 2022 annual appeal goal of $10,000 and support our work in 2023. We strive to expand our volunteer and education programs as well as create an environmental equity resource for the public.
